Other Contaminated Bases
There are 130 military bases here in the United States alone that are on the Environmental Protection Agency Superfund List of contaminated bases. This list does not include other military bases overseas, which shows how big this problem really is for our military members and families. For more information on this subject we have provided direct links to other groups where you can go to find out if you were on one or more of the EPA Superfund bases that support veterans and families in finding the answers that they are looking for. These groups are all fighting the same battle for healthcare that we are which means that we need to support each other.
Where Do You Start To Find Answers?
Here is a good place to start.....
Join the Military & Dependent Environmental Hazard Group for a start. The MDEHG offers a wide variety of information and this group supports all group members that have been exposed to toxic chemicals. They provide enough information to help get you started with how to file a VA claim, what VA and government benefits you and your family may qualify for, a fairly large contaminated base list, pre-written letters to send to your officials, and much more.
Military & Dependent Environmental Hazard Group
The Military & Dependent Environmental Hazard Group is open to all military and family members who have been exposed to toxins while living on the over 130 military bases that are on the EPA Superfund List of contaminated bases here in the U.S. alone. The intention of this group is to help our members to find the necessary medical and VA programs that they require through positive reinforcement, to assist each other in finding the latest research that our members need for specific disorders, and to support each group’s legislation as needed.

Burn Pits 360
Burn Pits 360 was developed in an effort to promote awareness of disease and illness of our Military, Veterans, and Contractors due to environmental toxic chemical exposures from burn pits in war zones.
Our goal is to educate, empower and provide outreach regarding burn pit chemical exposure. In addition, provide resources to healthcare benefits, health care providers, legislative updates related to toxic exposures, information on VA benefits and fact sheets on toxic chemicals. Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom war campaigns have resulted in thousands of soldiers and contractors developing diseases and illnesses, many of these severe and some resulting in death, caused by inhalation of toxic fumes.

Ft McClellan Toxic Exposure Attention Veterans SG (FB Group)
If you were ever stationed at Ft McClellan, Alabama, in the years 1935 through 1999, during your military service then you were exposed to toxic chemicals. You need to file a claim with the VA for 100% service connection for toxic chemical exposure and make sure you cite HR 2052 Ft McClellan Health Registry Act in your claim and attach a copy of it to your claim. Call the VA at 1-800-827-1000 for instructions on how to file a claim or visithttp://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp to file your claim online.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/ftmcclellantoxicexposure/
FT McCLELLAN TOXIC EXPOSURE ACTIVISTS RESOURCE
Many U.S. Army Veterans were exposed to PCB's and other toxins while serving active duty at Ft McClellan Alabama; The Health Registry Act HR 2052 is being debated in Washington to contact and assist these veterans with their serious health problems and service connected disabilities. Currently the Veterans Administration has not actively sought to notify veterans who were stationed there. The CBS program 60 Minutes once called Fort Mac the most toxic place on the planet. It reportedly is the only chem/bio facility in the Army where live substances were manufactured, stored, and used in training. The McClellan Cocktail includes PCB's, depleted Uranium, sarin gas, mustard gas, and various other bacterial, nerve and chemical agents. This Bill would assist veterans in no cost medical care, and service connected claims.

If you think you were exposed to depleted uranium during your military service, talk to your localVA Environmental Health Coordinator. Ask to be screened for depleted uranium exposure, and ask about the Depleted Uranium Follow-Up Program.
